Scarf Exchange

A scarf exchange is proposed for our April or May meeting. In order that everyone can participate, scarves can be woven, knitted, nuno or other felted, silk painted, crocheted, shiboried or stitched. The only requirement is that they be at least 6” wide and 60” long.

Tour of Todelena Weavers Exhibit


Mark your calendar for Tuesday, January 4, 2011. The meeting will be at the Wheelwright Museum in Santa Fe. Note that the meeting will start promptly at 10 am. Lunch will be available at the Museum Cafe on the Hill.

Our speaker is Mark Winter, owner-operator of the Todelena Trading Post, an expert on Navajo weaving, and the organizer of the current exhibit of Three Gray Hills rugs that we will tour. With Mark as our guide. we will learn about the weavers, their stories, and the meaning behind the weavings.
